BSC ICE TICKET
Ice Ticket is an agreement between BSC and the City of Burlington that allows BSC skaters to skate on non-prime time ice at a reduced cost.
Skaters register by purchasing a monthly ice ticket pass, in advance, if they meet the eligibility requirements below. There are no walk-ons or guest skating permitted on the ice.
Ice Ticket is available September to June.
Monday to Friday: 7am to 10:00am and 2:30pm to 3:30pm. These hours are not guaranteed. BSC reserves the right to cancel or adjust ice ticket hours as it deems necessary to accommodate other programming and/or the City of Burlington’s maintenance or programming requirements. Monthly fees will not be pro-rated or adjusted for schedule changes.
Eligibility
Skaters must be at STAR 2 and above (passed the STAR 2 freeskate test) and have purchased 3 regular sessions per week of BSC StarSkate or Pre-Competitive / Competitive programs.
In order to ensure proper insurance coverage and safety of all Skate Canada registrants, a Skate Canada coach is required for all ice ticket sessions. It is the responsibility of each skater to ensure that a coach will be present as the club does not assign coaches for ice ticket. Skaters are expected to check with their private base coach before registering.
Registration
Ice ticket is available for registration online by month at a fee of $75 per month. Skaters who register but don’t meet the eligibility requirements will be removed by BSC Admin.
Alumni Rule / High Performance Athletes
BSC Alumni and High Performance Athletes may be permitted to skate on Ice Ticket with the presence of a Certified Skate Canada Coach at the discretion of the Director of Skating and Development or the Director of Competitive Skating
Skaters and Coaches must have a valid Skate Canada membership and must pay the guest skating fee prior to skating.
